about

My mom's favorite song that my dad used to play on his accordion brings so many memories of my youth. I love to sing it on stage and make the two of them in my imaginary world, shared with the audience. Oh, the tears I could (and do!) share! So grateful for my parents! WOrds by Haydn Wood, Music Eddy Marnay.

lyrics

Dire que cet air me semblait vieillot
Aujourd’hui il me semble nouveau.

ENGLISH (by Jean Brassard)
Remember this tune used to sound so old
Yet today it feels new to my soul.
And above all it was you and me
These two words old will never be.

Remember it spoke of the Picardie
And the roses that you find overthere.
Both of us filled with love
How we used to dance
On the roses of yesterdays.
